Music Genome Project

1. A) Identify your chosen musical genre & B) say why you chose it.
a. Country Music
b. I have always loved country music because mostly all the songs tell a story and i wanted to express some of my favorites in an honorable way.
2.Describe how you went about finding your songs and information
Most of the songs are ones that I like a lot and sound more country then other songs I like
and I used some of my own knowledge and information under the title of country music
3.What different kinds of technology did you use to compile your project? [Web tools, Mac tools, etc...]
I used Keynote for all of my informational slides. I also used Garageband to combine and cut and edit my songs and of course I used iMovie for my whole project.
4.What are you good at...what went well for you in this project?
I felt like I did a fairly good job of organizing the project and I also tried to hit most of the main points that should be known about country music such as some inspirational people.
5.With what did you struggle on this project...what was difficult for you
Combining all the songs but it was hard to choose seven that went well together. Cutting the music was also difficult because you needed it to stop at the right time. I also ran into a few problem with iMovie.

6.Did you decide to use still slides? Why or why not?  [If not, how did you convey your information?
I did use still slides because I felt they were easier to work with and I could always add transitions to the switching of slides. I feel it worked out well for me.

7.For what other classes, situations, uses could this type of project be adapted?
It could help with Literature to help explain a story better with the video and audio could be a narrator.
8.How did your project use the transformative property of borrowed images, music, and information to comply with the Copyright Law of 1976?[...not just that you cited the information, etc., but how did you transform the music, information, images, etc.?
I made the music and information my own by editing and putting things into my own words.
9.Would you do another project like this on your own? Why? Why not?
I would but then again I wouldn't because it was a lot of work for just me and it was almost too much work for me but I really enjoy the end result.
